• This Clifton Curved Sole Spokeshave is made from very tough spheridal graphite/malleable iron; the surfaces are finished & polished to give maximum comfort in the hand; the weight & balance permits the Spokeshave to sit firmly on the wood so that only a stroking action is required to make them cut. The firm seating & fine adjustment allow the woodworker to make delicate nuances in the weight of cut. The slightly round curve bottom is useful for inside curves & can also be used on a variety of flat & curved, concave & convex surfaces as well. The blade is 2-1/8″ wide & rests at a 25° angle. Note: Honing of blade is recommended before use.   Made in Sheffield, England.
